On Thursday 22nd January the Junior under 16 Cup team overcame St Patrick’s Navan to progress to the next round of the JCT competition. On a very dark winter’s afternoon and on a very wet surface the two sides made heavy weather of the rugby as they squelched up and down the pitch. Kilkenny made an an early strike with a try from Jack Raeburn and the score stood at 5-0 until after the break. Then the College increased its lead with tries from Richard Nichols (with conversion by Richard Seale), Ross Deacan and Jack McDowell giving Kilkenny a comfortable win of 22-0. They now play Pres. Bray on 2nd February in Athy.
