The first phases of the Development Plan 2002 - 2007 are now complete. Investment in IT facilities costing more than €150,000 has been have been completed and continue to be upgraded. A completely new dormitory block, the Yates House, at a cost of more than €1.5 million, has been built and now houses the senior girl boarders up to a maximum of 50 pupils.

A new building costing of €1.7 million, the Jonathan Swift building has just been completed (September 2007). This block accommodates study facilities for both day pupils and boarders, an improved art room, enlarged and improved science laboratories and a ‘quiet room’ for pupils. The ‘quiet room’ will also be used for worship, religious education and pastoral care. It is planned that both these buildings will be heated primarily from renewable energy sources.

The Board of Governors is most grateful for the donations from parents and other benefactors which have provided funding for almost 50% of the cost of these projects. Future generations of pupils will benefit from these donors’ generosity. The Development Committee is updating the Development Plan to cover the period 2006 - 2011.

Projects already identified for inclusion and prioritisation in this plan are:
• The upgrading of the junior boys’ dormitory block.
• A new building that will be the focus point of the campus to include an assembly hall and music and drama facilities.
• Improving the facilities for a wide range of sporting activities.
